About NothinsGonnaStopIt!

Welcome to the NothinsGonnaStopIt! website. NothinsGonnaStopIt! is a seven hour rendition of the biblical storyline developed by Bill Jackson. In the almost twenty years since Bill has been doing this seminar throughout the United States and in other countries of the world it has become clear to him that almost no one has heard the story of the Bible from begining to end. People only have disjointed stories with little sense of the whole. Consequently, the Bible is thought to say things that have no bearing whatsoever to the story that is being told.

Why give the Bible a shot?

The Bible is the most unique book ever written. Of all the world’s religious writings, only the Bible offers a comprehensive understanding of human history. Only the Bible starts with creation and traces the story of humanity all the way to its consummation in new creation. And it is only the Bible that tells a story of good news for all the nations of the earth.

Warning Will Robinson

If you understood the words in this title, you are at least as old as me and can remember when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. They are taken from the black and white sci-fi TV series called Lost in Space when a robot (surely the prototype of R2 D2) would warn the star, Will Robinson, when some bizarre interplanetary danger was afoot. This blog topic is a follow-up to our last piece when we explored whether the Bible could be a viable source for truth.

Can we really trust the Bible?

NothinsGonnaStopIt! is based on the viability and vitality of the biblical message for every human being on earth. In order to establish the foundation for these assumptions we now want to begin a blog series to explore the reliability of the Bible. We are going to start with asking the important questions as to whether the Bible could be a truth source, perhaps THE truth. Once that foundation is laid, we will then move to the question about how one could consider the words of the Bible as inspired by God, thus making it different from other books.

Redefining Evangelicalism?

I have always identified myself with the the stream of Christendom called "evangelicalism." This word is often thought to refer to those who evangelize. While that is certainly an aspect of evangelicalism, the term itself was coined by conservative Christians in the 1940s to describe those that were distancing themselves from what was called "fundamentalism." Earlier in the century conservatives had taken the moniker "fundamentalists" when a group of pamphlets called The Fundamentals defined their version of orthodoxy.

Prayer Works

This summer ('08) I had my NothinsGonnaStopIt! seminar DVD'd for the first time in Ventura California. Before the seminar began I sent out an email to a number of friends to ask them to pray for a number of things.

NothinsGonnaStopIt!

My interest and passion is the pursuit of the storyline of the Bible, the plan of God for creation that nothing can stop. I base my thoughts on the words of Isaiah 46.10-11 where the prophet, speaking in the name of Israel's God, Yahweh, says, "I have made known the end from the beginning, from ancient times what is still to come. My purpose will stand and I will do all that I please."
