Bio on Bill Jackson

Bill Jackson grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and became a committed follower of Jesus Christ during his junior year in high school. He graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in literature in 1975 and spent two years starting high school clubs with the ministry of Campus Life.

After the death of his fiancé in 1977, he moved from Chicago to San Diego where he met, Betsy. They have now been married for 26 years. The Jacksons have three children, Luc 21, Meg, 19 and John 17.

After graduating with his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 1983, Bill and Betsy have planted and pastored churches with the Vineyard, a new denomination with over 1,300 churches in 56 countries. Bill and Betsy have most currently planted, and now pastor Black Mountain Vineyard in San Diego, California.

Bill coordinates Vineyard Leadership Institute, the Vineyard's training program for young people, in the state of California. He is also the author of the book, The Quest for the Radical Middle: A History of the Vineyard (Capetown, South Africa, Vineyard International Press, 1999).

Bill's life's mission is to train people from within a kingdom paradigm to glorify God among the nations through the ministry of the local church.
